Nice little city park on the Arkansas River in Derby. Nice play area for the kids. access for your canoe or kayak. Handicap accessible

This place has an amazing mountain biking trail, and it can easily take you an hour or so to complete the entire circuit. There have only been a couple cars the times I have gone, and I have not encountered anyone on the biking paths here- don't tell too many people about this place, or that last sentence may no longer be true 😉 . Ironically, I have yet to go out on the river yet, but fully intend on doing so one day. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the river from the bank on the bike trail.

I had an absolute blast here. I've been 3 times now and the parking lot is never more than 4 cars. I rode the MTB trails for about an hour then took off on the ATV trails and the railroad access paths. You can obviously kayak and fish there as well. Just wonderful!!

Edit- the MTB trails on the north side are well used and maintained. The south trail is dangerous on a bike as it is overgrown and full of ticks.

Great bird watching area but take protection and make sure you don't leave anything valuable in your car .the neighbors say there are a lot of break-ins in the parking lot. Evidence of partying is sadly everywhere along the walking trails.

We were there birding. Took hike through woods. Can see river well from entry. Nice hike.

We went to check out the river. So much trash every where! It was shocking the amount of beer cans and beer bottles. The river was extremely high with a large amount of trash floating by. Just makes me sad. Plus the little walking path had graffiti all over it.

Good spot for walking trails n walk back to cars... Just noticed two trails.. north side n south side .. amazing trails n fishing spot too... I'm sure there lot ppl swimming last summer
