I had to cancel a trip, and I did it through the website. I called to verify the cancellation, and they said I would get my refund within 3-5 business days. I noticed they tried to charge my card again for the original amount. I called them to check on the status of my refund a week later, and they said it had been declined. I've NEVER heard of a refund declining.

Instead of them letting me know it had been declined, I was the one who had to check on my refund. Now, they have to send me a check, and it's going to take A MONTH for it to get to me. SERIOUSLY? They wouldn't let me give them another bank account or expedite the check. That's not good customer service at all.

This company has an F rating with the BBB, and only 2.8* on Google Reviews. They have 3+ company names probably because they keep being sued: Sears Vacations, Direct Access Travel, Arrivia, etc.
You can get better hotel rates from calling the hotel direct than you can going through them! They use Expedia for hotels, car rentals etc.! You can book through Expedia on your own! They charge you more than going through another on-line travel company! It is Pre-Paid Travel, BUT they will only allow you to use a portion of your travel savings credits toward your vacation, and the vacation cash they give you for a membership, has expiration dates!!! 🙁 I paid $5000 for my membership, and they don't have emails for the agents so that you can reach them, if you can't get them on the phone! Some agents don't even have extensions! They're into the masses NOT LUXURY TRAVEL! It's the most frustrating experience you've ever had with a travel agent! The travel agents are not experienced travelers, and they can't speak from experience! They don't have the knowledge for specialties, for solo travel with cruise lines or tour companies that don't charge a single supplement ! They don't return phone calls either! It's difficult to understand them too! They don't speak good English! They don't have a 'Luxury" Division for luxury clients! You are better off taking your $5000 and applying it to a cruise or a tour and build loyalty points with that company than you are with this company because your points expire! 🙁 Noone calls you to let you know or to help you with travel! My experience has been HORRIBLE! Buyer Beware!!!

I have had direct access for 4 years. Overall, the service is fine. You get wholesale prices on hotels, which is great if you travel often. The price is not worth it if you do not travel often, however.

The service is not the best. The call centers are very frustrating to work with. The agents often don't know what they're talking about and they play hold games where they keep you on hold for long periods of time for no reason. You often get conflicting information from different agents and usually have to speak to several representatives before getting an answer. Then, once you get that answer you don't know whether to trust it because you've been told conflicting information over and over again.

Also, when I purchased they put my husband as the owner, not me - even though I was the one purchasing and I made it clear at time of purchase that I would be the one on the account. This has caused issues because it has been very difficult to manage my account when I am not listed as the owner. Unfortunately, this is something they could not fix and I have to deal with it every time I use this account.

While wholesale on hotels is nice, you can get a better value from Airbnbs, and with less hassle and stress, therefore I do not recommend this service.

I was told by the salesperson that including the down payment and all fees I would be paying $3000 for the basic package. I paid the $400 down payment and $125 for 24 months ($3000). The travel people are great, the certificates worthless, quarterly specials are the only reason to even have a membership. After the two years, another payment comes up and I’m told the contract (which of course I don’t have) says 3 years and the monthly service fee is $25! So $1200 in service fees for a $3000 package with a $400 down payment? One star, no questions just one star.

As the kicker to my reason to expect the term was two years and not three, the salesperson said the certificates (which are basically useless but the “incentive” to sign up) would expire the day your membership was paid off. They expired 12/10/2018, a year before my membership was paid. So even if they did not lie about the term, they lied about the date the certificates expire. I hate working with businesses that base sales on lies.

I joined in 2016. I’ve never missed a payment. I used 1 of the certificates and the property was amazing.
The next experience I had with This Sears Travel Club has been a horrible experience. Rude unprofessional Service Representative named Tony. Now I cannot access my account, no one will assist me. I’ve been getting the run around.

Direct Access is a nightmare, a complete scam. They are not responsive or professional at all. They cancelled our booking last minute many times without compensating for their mistakes.

They keep expiring the credits every year. I have to call every year to add the credit back in my account.
PS the prices are no different then shopping online. It's a rip off.
