Owner has taken 3 years, almost 4 to refit and ship 2 brass steam engines and a custom built camera car to me.
He now is avoiding me on Instagram and email.
I have requested a refund and not received any response.

Update after being emailed they would be sent by May 23rd I am still waiting.

Update 2: still waiting

Update 3: I'm filing a claim with the CA AG office at this point.

Update 4: the hobby shop has never reached out to me after I was told they would ship my items. Not by phone or by email.
As for not having paid for the items? Lol I did in a large lump sum payment along with a good order of other model train equipment I bought back in 2021 I think it was.

Tiny little nook in a non-descript old office building. I brought in old N gauge cars and sets that Dad had left to me which had been under the bed for 10 years. They spent 15-20 minutes appraising, gave me a fair amount of cash. They directed me to take my most valuable piece (brass, HOn) to a specific shop in Pasadena that specializes in brass, to get a better price. Thanks!

Amazing service by Larry and the team. I was impressed by the attention to detail and great customer service with all my interactions with them. I went in with my family to buy my son's first model train set and they helped me pick out a first set appropriate for a 7 year old. The prices were fair and the product was great quality. I was first introduced to Justin and OEMR soon after he opened up. I was new to N scale, and Justin and his crew have been nothing short of amazing, helping me with information and ideas. I have had these guys go over all my motive power to bring it up to fresh, and unlike some people, have no complaints whatsoever. They have done such a wonderful job. I know of no other place that does this kind of work at the prices they offer. They are my "go-to" guys. Thanks OEMR, Justin, and crew for all your help to get me up to par.

I model HO scale. The only two brands of locomotives I have are Scale Trains and Athearn.
You can go mostly anywhere for Athearn but not a lot of places work on scale trains in Southern California unfortunately. You have to ship it back to Scale Trains and what not, and maybe you don't want to do that. That's where Orange Empire comes in. Justin (the owner) is a really cool guy. Yea he is hard to get a hold of but he is down to earth and amazing guy and the service he provides is fantastic.
Marc is the one who worked on my Scale Trains and he did an above and amazing job. He fixed why my ditch lights weren't working on my law enforcement unit and he fixed my burn out ditch lights on my 911 locomotive.
There has been word on this place being bad and not to come here or have any business with them.
But so far, those rumors are just lies.
If you have any scale trains locomotives that need work, bring them.

I waited over two months to get my order which never came. I was probably checking in every other week or two with them to see if my order shipped, some times id get a reply from them assuring me it would ship next week(I got this line several times) some times Id get no reply. But ultimately I never got my order of trains.

This company seems to be dismissing critical reviews as conspiracy instead of acknowledging feedback about poor online customer service and business practices. Buyer beware.

**I placed my order months before any claims of cancer were known, this is just how they do business. I should have read and trusted the reviews about how they dont fulfill online orders and seen how they respond poorly to unfavorable reviews.

Order Cork road bed over 3 months ago and still haven't received it. Emailed them a couple of times and was told it would be shipped within a week. When I emailed again to check the status, I got nothing. I have emailed about cancelling the order and getting a refund and I haven't heard anything. I like the idea of help a first responders business but this is unacceptable. I do not recommend use Orange Empire Model Train.
